MPCC230 Circuit Checker with RCD and Loop Test
The MPCC230 is a multifunctional, pocket-sized circuit checker for verifying electrical installations. It functions as a TRMS multimeter and socket checker, allowing you to perform various safety tests such as RCD, loop impedance, and contact voltage. The device features a 1.77” TFT display, internal memory for reports, and a supercap for power even when disconnected. Ideal for testing electrical systems in residential and commercial settings, it ensures compliance with IEC61557-3 and IEC61557-6 standards.
The MPCC230 does not turn on
The MPCC230 uses supercap technologies. This means that the unit needs power to charge up the supercap when its is depleted. If there is no mains supply to the unit its unable to charge the supercap. Check the supply to the socket is present (190 – 253 V AC), if so leave connected to the circuit for 5 to 10 second to allow the supercap to charge up and power the device.
The display is dim, loop measurement
During the LOOP measurement, if the supercap is not fully charged, the display may switch off or decrease the intensity, however the measurement will be performed and shown at the end of test.
I am not getting accurate measurements.
The MPCC230 is intended to be a quick and easy checker. Disturbance or noise on the circuit can cause varying results. If unsure more advance testing should be performed on the circuit with the MFT-X1.
