AVO415 TRMS Digital Multimeter with VFD
The AVO® is a heavy-duty industrial True-RMS measuring instrument designed for harsh environments. It measures True RMS voltage up to 1000 V AC/DC and current up to 10 A with a 6000-count resolution. It also measures resistance, continuity, frequency, and capacitance for quick verification tasks. It meets CAT IV 600 V / CAT III 1000 V AC/DC safety and performance requirements. With variable frequency drive (VFD) measurement capability, it is ideal for a wide range of applications.
The continuity function includes a buzzer for audible and visual indication of results. The diode function allows forward and reverse bias testing of diodes and semiconductor junctions.
Automatic ranging or manual range selection enables precise and fast operation. It also features MAX (maximum), MIN (minimum), and hold functions for improved readability during everyday use.
The multimetre does not turn on / The display is dim
You may have a weak or dead battery. Simply turn off the multimeter and open the back battery cover using a Ph1 screwdriver as per the user guide and replace the battery, with the correct type, can then try turning the multimeter on again.
I am not getting accurate measurements
You may have faulty test leads. Set your multimeter to read resistance and touch the test probe leads together. It should read zero ohms. If it reads OL, is erratic or >1Ω replace the leads and try again. If the fault persists, contact your local repair centre.
If there is no resistance, you'll need to replace it. (Consult your multimetres manual to determine which fuse you need.)
My multimetre is not reading DC voltage
There are several possible causes of this issue. Common issues include loose connections, incorrect wiring or settings on the meter, and low battery or flat battery. To check the leads follow “I am not getting accurate measurements” and for the battery “The multimetre doesn't turn on”.
